15 May: European election candidates debate: Where now for European Foreign Policy?
On behalf of the European Council on Foreign Relations we are delighted to invite you to a debate between Dutch candidates to the European Parliament focusing on European foreign policy that will be held on 15 May from 15.00 - 17.00 at the Europe House. Join us!
Europe is today at the centre of many globally important issues including nuclear proliferation negotiations with Iran, combatting climate change and the crisis in Ukraine. Candidates to the European Parliament representing different Dutch parties will gather for this one-off the event to discuss how effective the European reaction has been to global crises, and debate what direction should be taken next after the change in leadership in the EU this year.
The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) is an independent pan-European think tank whose objective is to conduct research and promote informed debate across Europe on the development of coherent and effective European values-based foreign policy. We regularly publish analysis by top experts including on Asia and China, Russia and Wider Europe and the Middle East & North Africa.
Each year ECFR also publishes an annual assessment of Europe's performance on the world stage: The European Foreign Policy Scorecard.
